A rectangle wall has an area of 400ft. To paint the wall you used 1000 lbs of paint. How many square feet of the wall can be painted for every pound of paint?

    400ft, 1000lbs

    400ft / 1000lbs = 0.4ft/lbs, therefore 0.4ft wall can be painted for every pound of paint.

    (ie. 0.4 x 1000 = 400ft)
