What is the value of y in the equation 2 (3y 7 5) = 196 - 16? 13 14 26 28

    2 (3y + 7 + 5) = 196 - 16

    2 (3y + 12) = 180

    3y + 12 = 180/2 = 90

    3y = 90 - 12 = 78

    y = 78/3 = 26
