Which statements about the graph of the function f (x) = - x2 - 4x 2 are true? check all that apply. the domain is x ≤ - 2. the range is y. the function is increasing over the interval (-∞, - 2). the function is decreasing over the interval (-4, ∞). the function has a positive y-intercept.

    If the function is - x^2 - 4x + 2 (you skiped the operator between - 4x and 2), then:

    1) The domain is all the real numbers (-infinity, + infinity)

    2) The range is all the real numbers below 6, given that the vertex is (2,6) and the function opens down (because the coefficient of x^2 is negative).

    3) The funcion increases over the interval (-infinity, 2) and decreases over the inverval (2,+infinity).

    4) The y-intercept is the value of the function when x = 0, so it is 2 (positive).

Then, the only true statement is that the range is y such that y is 6 or below
