    The radius (r) is half the diameter. So just plug 3 into the equation A=πr². A=3π². The area is about 29.60 (which I think you meant to write for D).

    Diameter = 6 6/2 = 3

    Radius = 3 3 to the power of 2 = 9

    A = (3.14) (9) = 28.26
