The answer to this question is 7,000
In this question, you are given a number (6,842) and asked to round it up into nearest thousand. Rounding up mean that when the number is 5 or more you will add one to the upper digit. In this case, the round up is to thousands so you need to look at the hundred digit which was 8. Since 8 is bigger than 5 then you can add 1 to the thousand into 7,000
