If he wants to make 1/3 less then he wants to make 2/3 of the formula

    so (F = formula)

    if 3/5L = F

and you want to find how much L is in 2/3 then you take

    3/5L (2/3) = F (2/3)

    you get 6/18L = 2/3F which can be simplified as 1/3 L = 2/3 F
