    Let, the number of tickets of cost $3 = x

    and number of tickets of cost $2 = y

    x+y = 245

    3x+2y=630

    Substitute value of x,

    3 (245-y) + 2y=630

    735-3y+2y=630

    y = 105; x = 245-105 = 140

    3 gose into 630 210 times so what u could do is keep taking away 3 until u get to a even number in the 3 times table so 2 can go into it then that will tell you how many 2 there at and how many 3 there are.
