After making a deposit, Puja had $264 in her savings account. $26 to the amount originally in the account and donbled the sum. How much did she originally have in the account?

    If adding a number to an original amount doubles the sum, then the number you added must be the same as the original number. So the original amount must be $26. The wording on this problem is a little confusing however, so I may be reading it wrong.
