T divide by 3/12=6
t / (3/12) = 6
simplify
3/12=1/4
t / (1/4) = 6
multiply both sdies by 1/4 to get rid of fractions
(t times 1/4) / (1/4) = 6 times 1/4
t times 1/1=6 times 1/4
t=6/4=3/2=1.5
t=1.5 or 3/2
