2m + 12 = 3m - 31
Add 31 on both sides,
2m + 12 + 31 = 3m - 31 + 31
2m + 43 = 3m
Now, subtract 2x from both sides,
2m + 43 - 2m = 3m - 2m
43 = m
So, the answer is m = 43
