There are 5 red marbles, 8 blue marbles, and 12 green marbles in a bag. Several trials are performed with the results shown in the table. What is the experimental probability of randomly drawing a green marble?

Red : 10 Blue : 12 Green: 28

What is the experimental probability of randomly drawing a green marble?

What is the theoretical probability of randomly drawing a green marble?

What would you expect to happen if more trials of the experiment are performed?

Experimental probability is based on the trial - so the total number of times green was pulled was 28 - the total number of trials was 50 (add all the occurrences of the three colors). so experimental probability is 28/50 =.56 or 56% chance green will be pulled.

theoretical probability is based on the number of marbles being used - so there are 12 green marbles and 25 total marbles - the theoretical probability is 12/25 =.48 or 48% chance green will be pulled

because the theoretical probability is lower than the experimental probability you'd expect the number to come down as the experiment continues.
