We can write the formula out from the given information:

225,000 + B = A (Total sales at A were 225,000 more than B)

B + A = 625,000,000 (Total sales at both)

Since we know what A is (from the first formula), we can substitute.

B + (225,000 + B) = 625,000,000 (Since we are adding, parenthesis are irrelevant)

2B + 225,000 = 625,000,000 (B+B aka B*2 or 2B)

2B = 624775000 (Subtract from both sides)

B = 312387500 (Divide)

We can plug B into the original formula:

225000+312387500=A

312612500 = A
