A girl sitting on a merry-go-round moves counterclockwise through an arc length of 2.38 m. If the girl's angular displacement is 2.94 rad, how far is she from the center of the merry-go-round? Answer in units of m.

    Explanation:

    The relationship between the arc length, radius and angular displacement is given by

    S = rθ

    Where S = arc distance = 2.38m r = radius and θ = angular displacement = 2.9rad

    2.38 = r * 2.9
