    Explanation:

    Different scientific explanations leads scientists into making making more observations about the make up of matter.

    When there are different school of thoughts about a known phenomenon, it spurs more curious observation which will eventually lead to formulation of testable hypothesis along the line.

    Through this phase, the scientists studying this problem will have pools of evidence to support or discard a proposition.

    It is common place to have differing explanations. They often times lead to better scientific discoveries.
