steady speed. She exerts a 180 N force in a

direction 31 degrees below the horizontal.

The acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/^2

Find the magnitude of the vertical force

this lawnmower exerts on the lawn.

    We must look for the weight of the lawnmower = mg = 27 x 9.8 = 264.6 N

    Then look for the component of exerted force in downwards direction = 180 sin (31) = 92.71 N
