Sigmund believe that the concious mind is the final result of supressing process that initiated by our brain to single out which actions are considered as 'unacceptable' in a certain society and which actions are considered as 'acceptable'. Every waking hours that we spent is the constant battle to limit ourselves from doing the things that considered as 'unacceptable'
