    Conflict theory

    Explanation:

    This theory was originated by Karl Marx, explaining capitalism. According to conflict theory, society remains in conflict because of competition for limited and scarce resources and domination of power maintains social order and not consensus. Therefore on the premise that individuals that wish to live well must subscribe to hardwork to maximize their own benefits like Kevin does in the example above.
