Dr. McManus works in the prison system as a psychologist. He wants to show that his new clinical treatment makes prisoners less likely to commit a crime when they are released back into the community. What is his hypothesis?

So the statement of fact that Dr. McManus is trying to establish is that his clinical treatment makes prisoners less likely to commit crime and how can only be established by subjecting some set of criminal to the clinical treatment while some do not participate in it (control group). The aftermath of this test in comparison with the control group will determine whether to validate the hypothesis or not.
