North American people built long houses.

Explanation:

The native people of North America built long houses for both domestic and government use. Just as the name suggests, the houses were long, that is about 5 to 7 meters wide and about 74 meters long. Doors were placed on both ends of the long house with hides and skins being used to cover up, for the purposes of keeping the long house warm. There was a fire place in the center of the house to provide warmth for the people.
