slave revolt rumor in the Natchez District?

On November 28, 1729, the Indians made a revolt, the main reason for which was the attempt of the French commander to resettle the inhabitants of one of the Indian villages in order to free the territory for a new plantation. The Indians captured Fort Rosalie, killed more than 200 French soldiers and settlers, and captured 50 women and children, as well as at least 150 slaves of African descent, many of whom hoped to gain freedom by joining the Indians. Fearing a general Indian uprising, the French in response began to systematically attack the Natchez tribe and destroy its villages. At the very beginning of the hostilities, the French, assisted by their Allied Indians, including Choctaw tribe, besieged two Natchez fortifications near Fort Rosalie. After 12 days, the captives were released all the prisoners captured in November, and fled under cover of night.
