Seasonal pattern represents a potentially important specifier of bipolar disorder. Studies indicate that seasonality may reflect increased severity of disorder.

    There are four types of bipolar disorder: Bipolar I, Bipolar II, Cyclothymic, Other Specified and Unspecified Bipolar.
