When renting an apartment, "Federal Fair Housing Act, 1968", protects people from racial discrimination.

    Explanation:

The federal government has taken care of the rights of housing and accommodation of the people by implementing the "Federal Fair Housing Act, 1968" (and the amendments done to the Act in 1988), so that they aren't denied a place to live on the basis of race.

This act was first initiated by president named Lyndon B. Johnson during King Assassination riots. This act was further expanded to deny the discrimination based on nation, religion, and origin which is further expanded to deny discrimination based on gender.
