Let us assume that in our examples there is a difference of 1 in the height of

Let X be our based height, height of Allan.

Let us also assume a difference of 1 in the heights of Claire from Allan. So if Claire is shorter, her height is X+1. If Kishan and mike is shorter than Allan, but kishan is shorter than mike, then the height of Kishan can be assumed at X+1 and the height of Mike as X+2.

X = height of Allan

X-1 = height of Claire

X+2=height of mike

X+1 = height of kishan

Our assumptions show that Claire is the shortest at X-1. If Mercedes is shorter than Claire, then Mercedes is the shortest.
