Explain the differences between Rome's Republic and Democracy in the united states

    Roman government was lead by two people: the two consuls, which were elected only for one year. In the US the lead is taken by one person, the president, elected for four years.

    Also, in modern US both men and women have the right to vote, and it Rome it was only women.

    Another difference was that Rome's senate was not elected, but chosen by the consuls.
