    Explanation:

It is based on three primary assumptions: primacy of the unconscious - that is, that psychological processes take place outside of our awareness; the importance of early experiences (Such as childhood traumas and other early formative events); and psychic causality - the concept that there is no truly "random" thought or feeling.
