The answer is B, because to assimilate means to absorb another culture into your own. In the 19th century when the colonist were interfering with the native americans and taking their land, they decided to force assimilation on the Native Americans. For answer a a better term to describe that might be Acculturation. Acculturation just a few parts of their culture are changed to accustom to the new elements of the host culture, this is usually done by immigrants since they still want to keep elements of their own culture.
