What is the difference in meaning between a crash and a collision?

    I believe that a crash and collision are different in the fact that a crash usually involved hitting something that either was not moving or that was an inanimate object. A collision is where you hit another thing that is also moving. I might be wrong but I am fairly sure that my answer is right.

    A crash is when two or more objects move towards each other in a violent way that causes some kind of a disaster while a collision is when two or more objects rub their edges together to cause less damage than a crash (the damage caused in a collision is only caused around the edges)
