It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear a fool than to open it and remove all doubt. What does this mean?

A) it better to look foolish than to look wise

B) when you speak, your words make you look foolish and doubtful

C) keep you mouth shut will make you look like a fool

D) it is better to remain silent than to say something foolish

    The answer is D. Have you ever been talking with someone and they are going on and on ... making no sense whatsoever? If they had kept their mouth shut, you would only * think * they might be the smartest cookie in the box, but when they opened their mouth and started talking about stuff they had no idea on, that's when you knew for sure they weren't the brightest.
