What is the most significant influences of byzantine art?

    The Byzantine Empire was the eastern part of the Greek Empire. The Greeks believed in many gods, and often depicted them on pots and even Effigy containers. The Greeks did not have very many colors available to them, so often times these vases or Effigy containers were painted in black and red.
