William Caxton was the first person to introduce the printing press into the country of England in the year 1476. He was also an English diplomat, merchant, writer and printer. He is thought to be the first person of England that worked as a printer. He is also considered as the first English retailer of printed books. Although there is no definite indication about his date of birth, but it is considered that he was born anywhere between the period of 1415 to 1424.
