How are staff lines used in music notation and TAB lines different?

TAB lines are mostly used with instruments such as guitar, ukulele, etc. and each line represents a string, whereas staff lines create different notes as far as where you place a note on the staff.

basically, TAB lines are for fingering patterns, staff lines are for specific notes.
