How did northern renaissance artwork differ from that of italian artists?

    Northern renaissance artwork focused more on observing details of visual reality while Italian Renaissance artwork portrayed visual reality more accurately through proportion and human anatomy. Italian artwork had mostly mythology, and northern artists had more portraits and domestic interior.
