Why might a college choose to use Greek architectural elements sych as columns when designing the central building on campus?

Megalith is a large stone that has been used to construct a structure or monument, either alone or together with other stones. This word comes from the Ancient Greeks' wort megas meaning great, and lihtos meaning stone. The word megalithic describes structures made of such large stones. In composing this structures, no mortar or concrete were used. In Europe megaliths are, in general, constructions erected during the Neolithic or late stone age and Chalcolitic or Cooper age.
