How were Sumerian cylinder seals made? What was the purpose for the seals?

    Sumerian Cylinder seals were made by a burgul (sealcutter). The burgul uses bronze and flint engraving tools, drills and blades that are to work the stone into a seal. The purpose of this cylinder seals serves as a personal signature on a document/package that would guarantee the authenticity of the business deals.
