From the excerpt, it can be concluded that this form of English that she uses has a lot of meaning to her. This form of "broken" or nonstandard English is spoken, by the author as a form of intimacy and is more personal to her. Since this is a way that she had grown up talking with her parents and later on she went to share that memory with her husband.
