    Vertebral region is dorsal to the sternal region. The vertebral region is the central region of the back. It consists of 33bones is separated into five regions; cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral, and the coccyx while the sternal region forms the middle portion of the front of the chest. It consists of three segments; the manubrium, the body and the xiphoid process.
