    It has to be "ion channel membrane proteins". Their opening or closing leads to changes in membrane potential which conducts information over an axon or at synapses. Keratine is a protein (e. g. in hairs), insulin plays an important role in blood sugar regulation und cytochrome p450 must be an enzyme involved in oxidation processes.
