Too much is bad because our blood needs oxygen to survive. Lack of oxygen in blood cells is called sickle cell anemia, which causes cells to become hollow shaped and die prematurely resulting in organ failure because lack of healthy blood. In our respiration process we expel carbon and take in oxygen. Meaning we also, can not use carbon for energy to function correctly.
