Ecologists have observed a sharp increase of sulfur dioxide in the air. What might be a possible consequence of excessive sulfur dioxide in the air?

    Sulfur dioxide is a gas originating from human activities such as industrial process that utilize substances that contain sulfur. once there excess sulfur dioxide in the atmosphere, it reacts with rain water to produce an acid referred to as sulfuric acid. this will result to acid rain which is highly harmful both to living and non living organisms found on the land. for instance, it is highly corrosive and can corrode roof tops among other things.

    People might have an irritated nose, throat, and airways and might experience coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and/or a tightness in their chest. Most people would feel this symptoms within 10 or 15 minutes after breathing it in.
