    Glucose is a simple sugar which has a chemical formula of C6H12O6. This is one of the most common sugar present in the food and drinks. This is also utilized when the body is in need of energy. The synthesizing of the glycogen present in the body from glucose is called glycogenesis.

    This process takes place in the Cytosol. The process also requires ATP and UTP.
