    C. ATP uses phosphate groups - When it only has 2 phosphate groups, it is ADP, when it has 3, it is ATP, and can release that 3rd phosphate gorup. When it releases it, it is ADP again and can get another Phosphate group, become ATP again, and go give that energy to where it is needed in the cell.

    This process is repeated indefinitely to power the cell.
