Agarose is polysaccharide so it should be carbohydrate.

Agarose made from red seaweed and it is one of the standard agar used for separating molecule, mostly large one like DNA in electrophoresis. Agarose is easy to make, makes it frequently used in molecular biology and other laboratories assay.
