Forelimbs are different from hind limbs in part because of the bones they consist of. Forelimbs are made up first of a large, long bone called the humerus. This is the upper bone of the human arm. The lower part of the limb is made up of two bones, the radius and the ulna. These are the bones that are in the human forearm, below the elbow. Hind limbs are made up of a large bone called the femur, which makes up the upper part of the human leg. The femur is the strongest bone in the body. The lower two bones are called the tibia and fibula.
