    Both the Artic (North Pole) and the Antarctic (South Pole) do not receive direct sunlight, which leads to extremely cold temperatures.

    In the Summer, the average temperature in the North Pole is around 32F (0C) and in the South Pole, the average in the summer is - 18F (-28.2C).

    In the winter, the average for the North Pole is - 40F (-40C) and in the South Pole its - 76F (-60C)
