    Neonates with growth hormone deficiency have a higher risk of hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia is a condition where the blood glucose level is too low. Brain tissue only uses glucose as energy so hypoglycemia is dangerous to the brain. In neonates, hypoglycemia symptoms would be a seizure.
