Why is dna evidence more conclusive in proving a person's innocence rather than proving his/her guilt?

A comprehensive match requires sequencing the entire genome; disporiving a match just requires finding any discrepancies at all. In other words, as soon as you find something different, you have proven innocent. To prove guilt you have to go all the way through.
