Yes. Indirectly, through plants. Without plants using photosynthesis, and therefore, creating oxygen, we wouldn't have enough breathable air.

Yes because the chain is goes from sun=photosynthesis=converted to chemical energy=found in bonds=makes starches & fibers = the organisms then eat plants=and then organisms eat other organisms so therefore yes we need photosynthesis
