The no atmosphere temperature of a planet is never higher than the planet's actual temperature.

    The measures of how thick or thin the atmosphere of a planet does not really signify its temperature. It is the presence of the gas in that atmosphere and its distance from the sun that causes the increase and decreases in its temperature wherein the hottest planet Venus would be the perfect case for this.
