What did scientists learn from other fossils found in the same sediment layer as ardi?

Although the area Ardi was found it is now desert, but that doesn't mean it was always like that. Scientist discovered fossilized wood and seeds in the same sediment layer as Ardi leading them to believe that Ardi's environment was a woodland habitat.
