Explain why convection happens more effciently in water or air than it does in rock

    First of all, convection is the transfer of energy due to the movement of matter.

    Convection occurs more efficiently in water or air because particles in water and air move more freely than in rock. The more moving particles there are, the more energy transfer occurs.
